START THE YEAR OFF RIGHT BY HELPING THE HOMELESS!
Now that the busy holiday season is behind us, the new year should bring a spirit of optimism. This is not the case for some who may have the clothes on their back and little else.
Last year's holiday season was a blessing and your gifts were greatly appreciated. You helped us share real joy and hope to the less fortunate.
As we rebuild our Annual Fund for this new year, we pray your financial support continues so that Capital City Rescue Mission can be your helping hands in the South End of Albany. Thank you!
When temperatures start to plummet into the single digits, the Mission will partner with the Albany PD, Homeless & Traveler's Aid, Homeless Action Committee, Interfaith, and other agencies to keep people out of the frigid temps.
When a Code Blue is activated there is a temporary suspension of any barriers to accepting emergency shelter (i.e. eligibility, program participation). There is also an active search for homeless individuals throughout the city to transport them to a participating shelter. This program is designed to prevent threats to life and health from exposure to severe winter weather.
Your prayers for the safety of all who participate are greatly appreciated!
