A Letter From Perry Jones

Executive Director of the Capital City Rescue Mission

Dear Friends,

When Jesus was on earth He proclaimed the good news of the Kingdom of God and He met needs of hurting and lonely people. At Capital City Rescue Mission we do the same. The good news of the gospel of Christ is shared and physical needs are met.

Capital City Rescue Mission Executive Director Perry Jones

It may mean a hot meal, a warm bed, clean clothing or medical attention. It may mean a box of groceries or help filling out a job application. Others may learn how to read or earn a high school equivalency diploma. Some are introduced to Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

Many guests who come to Capital City Rescue Mission barely make it through our doors. They are survivors. They have lived through tragedy, trials, pain, and the terror of living on the street.

They have felt despair. Then, someone extends a hand of friendship saying, We're glad you're with us. Another smiles and asks, Can we help? God is at the Mission expressing His care and concern through staff, volunteers and through you.

Suddenly, our guest knows he or she is loved. There is hope for tomorrow.

Your generosity and compassion make a difference - one life at a time. Your partnership helps us continue proclaiming the good news and meeting urgent physical needs of homeless and hurting folks.

Thank you for caring!

- Perry Jones, Executive Director of the Capital City Rescue Mission -
